Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy

1. Introduction
The Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy of B-Investor is established to ensure compliance with Mwali International Services Authority (MISA), Comoros, and international financial regulations. This policy sets the framework for verifying client identities, assessing risk, and preventing financial crimes such as fraud and money laundering.

The primary objectives of this KYC Policy are:
  • Prevent identity theft, financial fraud, and illicit financial activities.
  • Ensure compliance with international KYC and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards.
  • Maintain a secure and transparent trading environment.
2. Legal and Regulatory Framework
  • B-Investor adheres to MISA (Comoros) regulations and global KYC standards, including:
  • Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendations
  • EU Anti-Money Laundering Directives (AMLD)
  • The Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act (Comoros)
  • Common global KYC and financial crime prevention frameworks
  • This policy applies to all clients before account activation and is subject to ongoing monitoring.
3. Customer Identity Verification (CIV)
Clients must complete KYC verification before engaging in financial transactions. B-Investor applies a Risk-Based Approach (RBA) to categorize customers based on risk profiles.

3.1  Required Documents KYC verification requires the following documents: A. Individual Clients
  • Proof of Identity
  • Government-issued passport, national ID card, or driver’s license (clear front and back copy)
  • Must be valid and not expired
  • Proof of Address
  • Utility bill (electricity, water, internet, or landline) OR bank statement
  • Issued within the last 3 months
  • Live Selfie Verification (for deposits exceeding $10,000)
  • Selfie holding the identity document
B. Corporate Clients (Legal Entities)
  • Company Incorporation Documents
  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Memorandum & Articles of Association
  • Certificate of Good Standing (if applicable)
  • Proof of Business Address (recent utility bill or business license)
  • List of Directors & Shareholders (for those holding 10% or more ownership)
  • Proof of Identity & Address of one director and the person managing the trading account
  • Board Resolution authorizing the trading account opening
4. Risk-Based Approach (RBA) B-Investor classifies clients into low-risk, medium-risk, and high-risk categories, assessing each based on:
  • Geographic location (sanctioned vs. non-sanctioned jurisdictions)
  • Client profile (PEPs, businesses in high-risk industries, etc.)
  • Transaction patterns (unusual deposits, withdrawals, or volume)
4.1 Customer Due Diligence (CDD)
  • Applied to all clients.
  • Standard identity and address verification.
  • Low-risk clients may undergo a simplified verification process.
4.2 Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
  • Required for high-risk clients and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).
  • Additional verification measures, including:
  • Source of funds declaration
  • Source of wealth verification
  • Additional biometric verification
  • In-depth transaction monitoring
5. Ongoing Monitoring and Compliance
  • B-Investor continuously monitors client accounts and transactions to detect suspicious activities:
  • Regular document updates (KYC information refresh every 12 months for high-risk clients)
  • Automated transaction monitoring to detect abnormal patterns
  • IP and device tracking for unauthorized access attempts
  • Flagging of high-risk transactions, including large or frequent deposits/withdrawals
6. Data Protection and Confidentiality
  • All collected client data is encrypted and stored securely.
  • B-Investor complies with data privacy laws to prevent unauthorized access to client information.
  • Client data is shared only with regulatory authorities if legally required.
  • 7. Consequences of Non-Compliance
Failure to meet KYC requirements may result in:
  • Account suspension or termination
  • Delayed or blocked withdrawals
  • Legal reporting to financial authorities
8. Client Responsibilities
  • By registering with B-Investor, clients confirm that they:
  • Have read, understood, and accepted the KYC Policy.
  • Agree to provide accurate and truthful information.
  • Acknowledge that failure to comply may result in service restrictions or account closure.
